Origin
This oyster feels perfectly at home in Dutch waters and grows up in the protected nature reserve of the Oosterschelde. The process begins on tables above the seabed, where the oysters can grow in protection. When they are large enough, they are moved to our most nutrient-rich plots on the seabed. Here, they benefit from the natural food supply, resulting in oysters that are beautifully plump with flesh.
Other information
The Zeeland Creuse has a relatively short reproductive cycle, allowing it to grow from seed to mature oyster in approximately 2 to 3 years. Thanks to the careful cultivation method on both tables and the seabed, the oyster develops a perfect texture. It is an ideal product for a summer day, delicious on its own or paired with a good glass of wine.
